Beast Man

beastmanOnly the best in evil henchmen, Beastman serves the Evil Lord of Destruction, Skeletor, doing his bidding in a hundred wicked ways. Beast man is first in line for the throne if is his appearances in He Man MOTU are anything to go by.

Beast Man one of only seven characters that were made in the beginning for the Motu story and toy line. He was among the first four toys that were released. I’d imagine you can guess at the other four.. He Man, Man at Arms, Skeletor, if you’re waiting for that answer…

Beast man was in fact a reproduction, or at least a reused name from one toy in the Flash Gordon series of toys that Mattel had made earlier.

Originally Beast Man was fitted out with red arm and chest armor and had a whip as his weapon of choice. One series of the toys had a solid head rather than the softer, squishy rubber like head. That one is a lot more rare so if you’ve got it, hang onto it.

Later on in the game, Beast man was purported to be one of the characters that was trapped by Hordak and ended up a slime monster in the pit.. Nice way to end your evil doing days isn’t it?

Beast man is retailing anywhere from 39 dollars on up to about 89, depending on where youre’ shopping for the evil henchman of Skeletor. If you’re trying to sell your older ones, depending on their condition you’re going to get a pretty fair price from Skeletor, Beastman, He Man and Man at Arms. For some reason, the evil guys seem to get a better price.

The newer versions are a bit more ripped in the abs area, and have a more clean look to them so you may want to take a look at those collectibles too.
